Aalto University is now looking for a Communications Trainee to support them in sharing their plans, activities and success stories with the whole Aalto community. The role offers a genuine chance to have a holistic view on the digitalization activities in Aalto and to be a part of making digitalization known across the university. We don’t expect you to be a full professional, yet this is the chance to get to utilize your full potential!As a Communications Trainee you will be working closely with Aalto University’s whole IT organization but especially with the Aalto University’s Head of CDO Office  and IT Communications Specialist. Your tasks include, for example, planning and creating content for our communications (both internal and external)- interviewing people, writing articles on projects and success stories. In addition to written content your role includes also  producing and editing videos, facilitating different workshops as well as other communications-related tasks.You are the Trainee Aalto University is looking for if you  are a communications enthusiast and have a curious and open mind, proactive attitude towards work and ability to work independently. You are also not afraid to communicate with different stakeholders and you have confidence to bring up your own ideas and opinions out loud.This is a part-time (50-100%) and a 10 months fixed-term position (from 8.8.2022 to 31.5.2023) and you have the possibility to influence on your working hours. We require from you:

  • Ongoing (3rd – 5th year)university studies, for example from marketing and communications
  • Strong interest towards communication planning and creating diverse content
  • Some experience in creating appealing content: writing articles, creating and editing video material and other marketing content
  • An understanding of the higher education sector as a whole
  • Fluent written Finnish and English
