Would you like to be part of organizing the most fantastic parties in Jyväskylä and one of Finland’s largest student events?
What is a project team?
The Kauppakadun Appro project team, or affectionately known as Kapprotiimi, is entirely responsible for the planning and execution of Kauppakadun Appro. The team will consist of a project manager and five members, each with their own responsibilities. We are now looking for motivated individuals to join the team, ready to make Kauppakadun Appro 2024 the best student experience in Finland! Organizing such a large-scale event teaches a lot about event management, organization, and provides a unique experience alongside your studies in good company. In addition, this role allows you to become familiar with the operations of Pörssi and represent Kauppakadun Appro to Pörssi members and stakeholders. As part of the project, you will also learn to work in a team and potentially make new friends and connections for life.
For the year 2024, we are looking for individuals for the following positions:
• Departure Point Coordinator
The Departure Point Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the departure point, involving careful attention to details. The departure point is like its own small event under the umbrella of a larger event, and its content is developed every year. Planning the departure point and collaboration with businesses are done together with the team. In this role, only your creativity sets the limit!
• Marketing Coordinator
As a Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for the event’s marketing across various communication channels and in collaborations with stakeholders. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop the marketing of a large event and build the brand of Appro. You will use your creativity in marketing planning and content creation!
• Restaurant Coordinator
The Restaurant Coordinator manages the collaboration with restaurants. The tasks include making agreements with restaurants and communicating with them regarding all matters related to Appro. This is an interesting glimpse into the other side of the restaurant world. Good relationships with restaurants are crucial for the success of the event!
• Corporate Relations Coordinator
The Corporate Relations Coordinator is responsible for handling corporate partnership agreements for the event. There are various types of agreements, and some are made in collaboration with other team members. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your B2B sales skills and plan different collaboration options. This position provides an excellent opportunity to have a concrete impact on the content of the event through various corporate partnerships.
• Customer Relations and HR Coordinator
The responsibilities of the Customer Relations and HR Coordinator include ticket sales, event day employees, and customers. Good communication skills and stress tolerance are emphasized in this role, as on the event day, you will be coordinating and instructing others. Additionally, before the fall, there will be many other tasks to be completed.
What do the positions require?
The key to success in these roles is motivation and initiative, as well as the ability to commit to long-term efforts. Previous experience in project work is not required. The workload for the positions varies, and your enthusiasm and activity also influence it. Although each team member has their own responsibilities, a lot of work is also done together. Team members support each other, and no one is left alone in difficulties. Therefore, the most important thing is that you are motivated to contribute!
