The Pörssi Mentoring Program will continue for its third season in autumn 2026, and we are now looking for a Head Coordinator to help run the program.

The Program Coordinator’s role is to manage the program together with the Mentoring Task Force, from planning and implementation all the way to recruiting the next coordinator. The program has largely been structured as an independent initiative between students and mentors, while the task force is responsible for organizing the program and its live meetings. You will not be working alone, and prior familiarity with mentoring is not required for this role.

The program is organized in collaboration with a representative of Pörssi Alumni, who assists, for example, with recruiting alumni participants. The working group also includes a mentoring expert whose role is to provide practical mentoring insights and support in designing an effective program.

What does the role involve?

In practice, you will be involved in organizing three live events and planning the program structure behind the scenes. Together with the task force, you will participate in everything from developing the program concept and scheduling activities to implementation and collecting feedback.

Program meetings have been held in Helsinki and Jyväskylä, with remote participation options available for attendees. Guest speakers have been invited to these events, and the mentoring task force has been responsible for coordinating them. While the program is running, the working group continuously plans upcoming meetings and develops new ideas to improve the program.

The role also provides an opportunity to develop skills related to marketing and recruitment through the design and implementation of promotional materials. You will have the chance to use tools such as Canva to create these materials.

As Program Coordinator, you will collaborate with both the boards of Pörssi and Pörssi Alumni, as well as potentially with external partners such as JYU EMBA and the Keski-Suomen Ekonomit. In 2026, the mentoring program also collaborated with Firmamessut.

Workload and Requirements

The position requires initiative and planning skills but does not demand a significant time commitment throughout the year. On average, the workload amounts to a few hours per month, depending on whether program events are scheduled during that period.

It would be strongly preferred that the coordinator be able to attend all live meetings. The term begins in summer 2026 and ends when a new Program Coordinator is selected in summer 2027.

Previous experience in a similar role is not required, as long as you are interested and motivated. The previous Program Coordinator will provide orientation and support for the role.

As the Head Coordinator of the Mentoring Program, you will have the opportunity to shape a program that aims to become an established and permanent part of Pörssi’s activities. Leaving your own mark on the program is highly encouraged and welcomed.
