Pörssi’s Clubs – Something for everyone
The clubs of Pörssi offer members unique opportunities for activities through various events, courses, competitions, and excursions. Every member of Pörssi can participate in the events organized by the clubs without any prior experience in the activities provided by them.
The application process to join the clubs’ leadership teams takes place at the beginning of the year. Clubs recruit new members to replace those who are stepping down. It is possible to continue in your position for several terms, since, unlike most positions in Pörssi, clubs do not form an entirely new team every year. If being part of a club feels like your thing, you can continue in the same club for multiple years without submitting a new application.
At Pörssi, you can also propose the establishment of a new club. The main requirement for founding a new club is that it provides added value and activities for members that are not already offered within Pörssi. For matters related to clubs, please contact: sopo@porssiry.fi
PörSail
PörSail is Pörssi and Dumppi’s sailing club, that was established in 2020. Our purpose is to introduce our students to the world of sailing with ease. The world of sailing is beautiful and we intend to spread the word. In our club activities students get to learn about sailing through different student events and with our unforgettable excursions!
Our club sails under the Mediterranean sun during our annual excursions, as well as at home in Jyväskylä and around the whole of Finland in different races.
All students are welcomed to our activities and participation does not require ANY prior experience in sailing!

PörSki
PörSki is a skiing club founded in 2019 with the goal of organizing skiing opportunities and ski-related events for Pörssi members, as well as representing Pörssi at various events. Additionally, our activities include organizing unforgettable excursions. The club’s operations are divided into four key areas: finance, communications, events, and excursions.
Each year, we organize the popular Surf and Alpine excursions, carefully planning them with a student-friendly budget and seamless execution. Our goal is also to arrange a domestic ski trip and introduce new events.
During the orientation weeks, we actively participate in various events, making it easier for new students to get involved in club activities. We also take part in sits parties and other student events, aiming to strengthen our community spirit. PörSki offers a fantastic opportunity to combine skiing, traveling, and fun moments with fellow students.

Pörssin Golfseura
Golfers and golf events have been part of Pörssi for decades, however Pörssin Golfseura (Pörssi’s Golf Club) was founded in 2023.
The goal of our Golf Club is to bring all Pörssi’s members interested in golf together and organize high-quality golf-themed events for them. We organize, for example, Green Card courses, Pörssi Masters (both summer and winter version), various chill events and for the highlight of the year an excursion abroad.
All members of Pörssi are welcome to participate, regardless of skill level from beginners to professionals! Just join the Pörssin Golf Telegram group and follow @porssingolfseura on Instagram.

Pörssin Alarauta
Pörssi’s Alarauta, or PAR, is our subject association’s Frisbee Golf Club founded in 2020. Our club organizes various sport-related events such as fun competitions, technique exercises, sport trials and of course we solve the Pörssi’s Frisbee Golf Championship. Through PAR, every Pörssi member has the opportunity to find a throwing company for themselves.
The activities of our club are low-threshold and there are enough activities for both novice throwers and experienced veterans. Our goal is to introduce every willing Pörssi member to frisbee golf and more experienced players will help new enthusiasts learn about our amazing sport.

PörssInvest
PörssInvest is an investment club founded in 2015, which was more actively restarted in 2024 after a short break. Our club aims to organize inspiring and informative low-threshold events and excursions related to investing for members of Pörssi. The club strives to increase knowledge among those interested in investing and to encourage as many Pörssi members as possible to start investing.
Anyone can take part in the club’s activities, regardless of their background or level of expertise — whether you’re an experienced investor or just starting out but curious about the topic. In 2025, wine culture secured its well-deserved place in Pörssi’s activities with the founding of PörSip! We are a community for everyone who wants to dive into the world of wines, learn about their nuances, and enjoy quality moments with like-minded people.
PörSip focuses on expanding wine knowledge in an accessible way. Our events explore different wine types, winemaking processes, wine regions, and food pairings – all in a relaxed atmosphere. You can look forward to wine tastings, educational sessions, and excursions. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned enthusiast, you are warmly welcome to join!
