Would you like to help organize the best student parties in Jyväskylä?
Jyväskylä’s interdisciplinary overall parties “Poikkitieteelliset Haalaribileet” or more familiarly “Poikkarit”, are held on the first Thursday of every month throughout the academic year. These popular parties draw students from all over Jyväskylä and Finland! In addition to the traditional interdisciplinary overall parties, pre-party events are organized, such as beer pong tournaments and legendary LIVE-Poikkarit, where the evening’s festivities are crowned by a live performance by an artist.
The Poikkari team is responsible for organizing the interdisciplinary overall parties from start to finish. Its tasks include marketing, which includes, for example, communication and content production on various social media channels, establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships between various partners and student organizations, brainstorming and planning themes before the Poikkari day, and organizing the party itself. Responsibilities are divided within the team, but the team still works together and participates in every aspect of creating the event.
Next year, in 2026, the Poikkitieteelliset Haalaribileet team will consist of five members instead of four, as a new position, the Head of Poikkitieteelliset Haalaribileet team, has been launched. The Head of Poikkari team is responsible for organizing the work of the Poikkari team and generally ensuring that all aspects are in order. The Head of Poikkari team is now looking for four people to join them in forming an amazing team. Team members are required to be enthusiastic about developing Poikkarit and Jyväskylä’s nightlife, have a proactive attitude to work, and be committed to the team for the whole year.
