The Pörssi board application is now open!
Would you like to influence Pörssi’s activities and shape its future? The application process for the 2025 board is officially open!
The application for the 2025 board of Pörssi opens on Monday, October 14th, and will remain open until Sunday, October 27th.
The association’s statutory autumn meeting will take place on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in Martti Ahtisaari Hall.
WHAT IS THE BOARD? The board consists of 12 members, each responsible for a specific area of Pörssi’s operations. Even though everyone has their own area of responsibility, all work is done together as a team throughout the year.

ASK THE BOARD! If you’re interested in applying or have any questions about the board, come chat and ask the board members on 21.10. 3pm to 5pm in Pyynikin Brewhouse.
HOW TO APPLY? First, write your name on the list posted on the door of Selkkari, and then send your application and CV to pj@porssiry.fi (applications and CVs will be published on the website).
After the application period ends, interviews will be conducted with each applicant, attended by the candidate(s) for chairperson and the current chairperson. The interviews will take place during weeks 44-46. The final selection will be made by the membership at the statutory autumn meeting on November 14, 2024.

The first step in applying is writing your name on the list posted on the wall of Selkkari. If you can’t make it in person, you can ask someone else, such as a current board member, to write your name for you. Below is a brief overview of the entire board application process.

1. Submit an open application and write your name on the list
Board applicants write their names next to the position they’re applying for on the list found on the door of the student organization space, Selkkari.
Applicants must submit their application and CV to the current board chairperson by email by the end of the application period (October 27th at 11:59 p.m.) at pj@porssiry.fi. Applications are open-ended and can include a photo if the applicant chooses.
By submitting an application, the applicant agrees to have it published on the association’s website. Applications for positions will be published simultaneously on a members-only page of the website. CVs will not be published.
Applicants can apply for multiple positions at once. If applying for multiple positions, the applicant may submit one application for all positions or write separate applications for each. If applying for several positions, make sure to write your name on the list for each position you’re applying for.
2. Personal interviews
Chairperson candidates and the current chairperson will interview board applicants behind closed doors before the autumn meeting.
Chairperson candidates will form their own views on the composition of the board and the individuals involved.
3. Autumn Meeting
During the autumn meeting, any eligible member can run for any position, even if they did not participate in the earlier stages of the application process. However, it is highly recommended to take part in the application process from the beginning.
