What is it about?
We are looking for one more equality representative to join Pörssi. The role of an equality representative primarily involves lowering the threshold for members to reach out during various Pörssi events, no matter the issue. The responsibilities are broad, including handling and preventing harassment cases, planning proactive measures, and advancing equality in all activities of Pörssi ry. The equality committee supports members and ensures that everyone’s safety and fair treatment are prioritized.
Who can apply?
Any member of Pörssi! You don’t need prior experience to apply or serve as an equality officer. Enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a passion for promoting equality in our organization are what matter most! Please note that the position lasts for one calendar year and requires your presence in Jyväskylä.
How to apply to become an equality representative?
1. Send your CV and a freely written application by email to sopo@porssiry.fi by Sunday, December 8th, 11:59 PM, with the subject line “Equality Representative – Application 2025” (CVs and applications will not be made public).
2. Based on the applications, the previous Equality Representatives will invite a selected number of applicants to the second phase. These shortlisted candidates will be interviewed as soon as possible. Interviews will be conducted remotely.
3. After the interviews, the previous members of the equality committee will select the new equality officers based on the applications and interviews.
4. Applicants will be notified about the decisions during December.
5. Selected candidates will be onboarded either at the end of this year or early next year.
The official term begins on January 1st, 2025.
