The most important lesson of the year is here: the freshman sitz party! Here, you’ll learn the etiquette of sitzning and immerse yourself in traditional university culture with the help of experienced sitzning participants. Don’t worry—we’ll teach you EVERYTHING, so no prior knowledge is required. Sitz parties are academic table parties where you eat, drink, and sing under the guidance of toastmasters. Each sitz party has its own theme, and so does this one: CHILDHOOD IDOLS. So put on your superhero cape, Smurf hat, or princess tiara and head to the most important and fun lesson of the fall. Dressing for yourself is especially important and you should throw yourself into it with dedication. WE ARE THROWING TWO SITZNING PARTIES, YOU CAN ONLY PARTICIPATE IN ONE! Traditionally, overalls are not worn at Pörssi ry’s freshman sitz parties.

WHEN: 4.9. at 6:00 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m., and seating starts exactly at 6:00 p.m., please come early)
WHAT IT COSTS: €17 including 2 soft drinks, 2 schnapps, sitzning food, and an overall badge.
