What is the Kauppakatu Appro Team?
The Kauppakatu Appro Project Team, or “Kappro Team,” is responsible for planning and organizing
the entire Kauppakatu Appro event. The team will consist of a project manager and five members,
each with their own area of responsibility. The team will organize the biggest student event in
Jyväskylä and for the Pörssi student association.
We are now looking for motivated team members ready to make Kauppakatu Appro 2025 the best
student experience in Finland! Organizing such a large event teaches you a lot about event planning
and management. It is a unique experience during your studies and a great way to meet new people.
You will also get to know the Pörssi student association and represent Kauppakatu Appro to its
members and other stakeholders. You will learn to work in a team and might even make lifelong
friends and connections.
Roles we are looking to fill for 2025:
• Program Coordinator
As the Program Coordinator, you are responsible for planning and executing the event experience,
both at the starting point and at the after-parties. This role allows you to design memorable
experiences for all attendees. Key tasks include planning a diverse program, creating unique
activities, and coordinating services such as rides, DJs, and hosts. You will have the chance to bring
your creative ideas to life!
• Marketing Coordinator
As the Marketing Coordinator, you will handle event marketing across various channels and
partnerships. You will develop the event’s marketing strategy and grow the Appro brand. This role
offers the opportunity to create campaigns and content that engage the target audience. Creativity is
key, and graphic design skills are a plus!
• Restaurant Coordinator
The Restaurant Coordinator manages partnerships with local restaurants. Your tasks include
making agreements and maintaining close contact with restaurant partners. You will plan a diverse
and exciting restaurant lineup that meets the expectations of attendees. This role gives you a look
behind the scenes of the restaurant business and helps build strong local connections.
• Corporate Relations Coordinator
The Corporate Relations Coordinator handles partnerships with companies for the event. You will
develop various collaboration options and enhance your B2B sales skills. In this role, you can directly
impact the event’s offerings through different business partnerships.
• Customer Relations & HR Coordinator
The Customer Relations & HR Coordinator is responsible for ticket sales, staff coordination on the
event day, and customer relations. Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
are essential, as you will manage and guide others during the event. Experience with ticketing
systems is a plus. You will also get to work on various tasks throughout the year.
What do we expect from you?
The most important qualities are motivation, initiative, and the ability to commit to long-term work. You
don’t need previous experience in project work. The workload varies and depends on your
enthusiasm and activity. Although everyone has their own responsibilities, the team works closely
together and supports each other. The key is to be motivated and willing to learn!
