Pörssi’s board application is now open!
Would you like to have an impact on Pörssi’s operations and shape what Pörssi looks like in the future? The application period for Pörssi’s Board of Directors for the year 2027 is now open! The application opens on Monday, Oct 26 and stays open until Thursday, Nov 5 at 11:59 PM. The application process consists of a pre-submitted application, an election panel, and the Autumn General Meeting, where the 2027 board will be elected. However, any member of Pörssi can run for any board position directly at Pörssi’s official Autumn General Meeting.
What board?
The board consists of 12 people who are responsible for all of Pörssi’s operations through their respective areas of responsibility. Even though everyone has their own role, tasks are done together as a team throughout the year, and a large part of board work involves managing shared matters. Board positions at Pörssi require a significant amount of time, commitment, and physical presence in Jyväskylä. 1. Application
Send your application (in PDF format) by Nov 5 at 11:59 PM to pj@porssiry.fi. The application is informal, maximum one A4 page long, and can include a photo if you wish. Applications will be published on the website after the application period ends. By submitting the application, the applicant grants permission to publish it on the association’s website. Role applications will be published simultaneously on a members-only page on the website. Applications will be removed from the website after the Autumn General Meeting. Applicants may also apply for multiple positions at once. If applying for multiple roles, you can apply using a single application or write a separate application for each position.
2. Election Panel
The sitting President will host the election panel on Nov 11 starting at 4:00 PM in the Lea Pulkkinen hall, and all board applicants are expected to participate. The panel is intended for getting to know the applicants and discussing predefined topics; questions from the audience will not be taken during the panel. All members are welcome to attend and follow the election panel, and it can also be followed remotely via a link posted on the Telegram Info channel. Food will also be served on site. This is a great opportunity to warm up for the Autumn General Meeting.
3. Autumn General Meeting
At the Autumn General Meeting on Nov 12, any eligible member has the opportunity to run for any of the positions. You can therefore still run at the meeting even if you did not participate in the earlier stages of the application process. However, participating in the application process from the beginning is strongly recommended. The Autumn General Meeting takes place on Nov 12 starting at 4:30 PM. Doors open at 4:15 PM, so please arrive on time. The official meeting invitation along with the detailed agenda will be sent via email no later than one week before the meeting and will also be published on our website.
