Division of Educational Politics (6 members)
The Division of Educational Politics is responsible for safeguarding the interests of Pörssi members in the
academic and educational policies of our School of Business and Economics. The division comprises six
subject representatives, one for each major (majors: Corporate Communication, Marketing, Accounting,
Management, Economics, and International Programs).
The student representatives in the division participate in meetings of various decision-making bodies,
bringing students’ perspectives to the table. For example, the division represents students in the meetings
of the JSBE’s Educational Development Committee (KKR). In addition to attending meetings, the division
supports the Education Officer (Kopo) as needed, including participating in working groups and organizing
Kopo-related events.
An essential advocacy task is assisting the Kopo in collecting and processing feedback from students.
Subject representatives maintain regular communication with the faculty of their respective majors and
inform students about decisions that concern them, thus acting as a link between JSBE and Pörssi.
