Freshman sitzning party “Fuksisitsit”

Here they come! Perhaps the most important lesson of the freshman year, i.e. the freshman sitzning party. Here you can get to know one of the most important aspects of university culture, i.e. sitzning. You may have already heard about sitzning partys, but you can finally experience them inside out with the help of good teachers. You don’t need to know anything yet, because we will teach you everything essential.

Sitzning parties are an academic table party, where you famously eat, drink and sing which is led by toastmasters.

Every sitzning party has its own theme and so does this one. The theme is “what I was supposed to become when I grew up”. Come and represent your former dream profession with pride, shame or with any emotion you want. Dressing for yourself is especially important and you should throw yourself into it with dedication. It should be mentioned that not dressing for sitz is also highly frowned upon.

Please note that traditionally in Pörssi ry’s own sitzning parties we do not wear overalls.
