The Allstars teams play a vital role in Pörssi’s activities. Being part of Allstars allows you to gain an inside
look at Pörssi’s operations, learn valuable skills, and build friendships that extend even beyond your own
student organization. You’ll have the chance to express yourself and gain valuable experience that will
surely benefit you in the future.

Who can apply?
Any Pörssi member! No previous experience is required to apply or participate in these roles. As long as you
have enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, you’re already well on your way! Please note that the position
lasts one calendar year and requires your presence in Jyväskylä.

What roles are available?
The diversity of Pörssi’s operations is reflected in the variety of Allstars roles available, spanning across
different areas. You can learn more about the 2024 Pörssi Allstars roles here. Below, you’ll also find detailed
descriptions of each team and position currently open for application. If multiple roles interest you, feel free
to apply for more than one.

We are hosting a “Meet the Teams” evening at Pyynikki Brewhouse in Jyväskylä on Tuesday, 19 November,
starting at 18:00. This is an excellent opportunity to talk to current team members and ask questions about

How to Apply to Allstars
1. Review the open positions listed below.
2. Send your CV and a free-form application by email to pj@porssiry.fi by 24 November at 23:59, with the
subject line “Allstars 2025 application + the team(s) you are applying for” (e.g., “Allstars 2025 application
Event Team and Project Team”). In your application, mention the roles you’re interested in and why you
would be a good fit for them. (Note: Applications and CVs will not be visible to members.)
3. Based on applications, the current and incoming board will invite a selected number of applicants to a
second phase. These shortlisted applicants will be interviewed in weeks 48 and 49. The interviews will
primarily be conducted in person, but remote options can be arranged if needed.
4. After the interviews, the current and incoming board will decide on the new Allstars team based on
applications and interviews.
5. By 13 December, all applicants will be informed of the decision by phone.
6. Selected members will be onboarded for their roles either before the end of the year or at the beginning
of the new year, depending on availability.
7. The official Allstars term begins on 1 January 2025.

Pörssi’s divisions Include:

Events division (6 members)
The Events division assists the event coordinators in planning, organizing, and executing Pörssi’s events. This
team is responsible for organizing events like Vappu, freshman week, and planning and executing the
traditional “Sillis” event. Team members get the chance to both develop existing and create new event concepts.

Division of Social Politics (4 members)
Division of Social Politics works closely with the head of social politics to promote the wellbeing of Pörssi
members through sports, environmental initiatives, cultural events, and international activities. The team
consists of two sports coordinators, one environmental coordinator, and one international coordinator, each
with specific responsibilities:

Sports Coordinators: Organize monthly sports tryouts, regular sessions, and sports events during event weeks.

Environmental Coordinator: Develops the annual environmental strategy and plan, represents Pörssi in committees, and organizes environmental/wellbeing events.

International Coordinator: Represents Pörssi in international matters, advocates for exchange students,
and organizes exchange events.

Division of Educational Politics (6 members)
The division of educational politic`s task is to ensure that the interests of Pörssi members are represented in
the educational policy landscape of our business school. The team consists of six subject representatives,
one for each major (majors: Communication Management, Marketing, Accounting, Management,
Economics, and International Programs). Student representatives in the team participate in various
decision-making body meetings, bringing students’ perspectives to these discussions. The team also
represents students in, for example, the JSBE Educational Development Group (KKR) meetings.

In addition to attending meetings, the team assists the academic affairs representative with their tasks as
needed. These tasks include participating in various working groups and organizing academic events. An
important advocacy role is to support the academic affairs representative in gathering and processing
feedback from students. The subject representatives maintain regular contact with the faculty of their
respective disciplines and, when necessary, inform students about decisions that concern them, thus acting
as a bridge between JSBE and Pörssi.

Project Team (4 members)
The Project Team supports the head of projects in planning, organizing, and executing Pörssi’s traditional
“Rinnerieha” and annual ball. Team members take on specific responsibilities for each event and get the
opportunity to both enhance existing and create new event concepts.

Media division (9 members)
The Media Team works under the media and communications coordinators, with tasks including
photography, creating graphics and banners, generating social media content, and managing the website.
Alongside the coordinators, the team contributes to Pörssi’s communications. No prior experience is
needed, making this team an excellent place to develop skills in visual communication, social media, and
marketing.
The Media Team is looking for the following roles for 2025:

Division of Corporate Relations (4 members)
The Corporate Relations Team assists the corporate relations representatives in securing the best
opportunities for Pörssi members. The team handles partnership agreements for events, oversees overall
sponsorships, manages the Sininen Pörssi benefits program, and helps develop members’ career readiness.
This role provides excellent opportunities to build connections in the corporate world and gain relevant
work experience during studies.
