Would you like to be part of organizing Jyväskylä’s most unforgettable party and one of Finland’s largest student events? Next year marks the 50th anniversary of Kauppakadun Appro, and now you have the opportunity to help make this milestone year truly memorable!
What is the Kauppakadun Appro Team?
The Kauppakadun Appro Project Team, also known as the Kappro Team, is responsible for the planning and execution of the entire event from start to finish. The team consists of a Project Manager and five team members, each with their own area of responsibility.
Together, the team organizes Jyväskylä’s and Pörssi ry’s largest student event, the legendary Kauppakadun Appro, in the autumn of 2026.
We are now looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who want to be part of creating the best student experience of 2026! Organizing an event of this scale offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in event production, organization, and teamwork, and above all, to experience unforgettable moments and build valuable networks.
As a team member, you will also gain deeper insight into Pörssi ry’s operations and represent Kauppakadun Appro to both students and partners.
For the 2026 team, we are looking for candidates for the following roles:
Program Coordinator
As the Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for the overall design and implementation of the event experience, both in the starting area and at the afterparty. This role offers an opportunity to enhance the entertainment value of Kauppakadun Appro and create unforgettable moments for participants. Key tasks include brainstorming diverse programs and creative content, as well as coordinating purchased services (e.g. amusement rides, DJs, and hosts).
Marketing Coordinator
As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for the marketing of Kauppakadun Appro across various channels and for collaboration with stakeholders. In this position, you will develop marketing communications for a large-scale event, build the event brand, and plan content that resonates with the student audience. Creativity is a great asset in this role, and graphic design skills are considered a plus.
Restaurant Coordinator
As the Restaurant Coordinator, you will be responsible for collaboration with participating restaurants and venues. Your tasks include drafting agreements and maintaining communication with the restaurants regarding all event-related matters. You will get to build a diverse and memorable restaurant experience and gain behind-the-scenes insight into Jyväskylä’s restaurant scene. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop negotiation skills and create meaningful relationships with local businesses.
Corporate Relations Coordinator
As the Corporate Relations Coordinator, you will be responsible for Kauppakadun Appro’s corporate partnerships and agreements. You will get to design and implement various collaboration models while developing your B2B sales and communication skills. In this role, you will directly influence the content of the event and provide companies with the opportunity to be part of one of Finland’s largest student events.
Customer Relations and HR Coordinator
In this role, you will be responsible for ticket sales, event-day staff, and customer experience. Strong communication, organizational, and stress management skills are especially important during the event day, when you will guide and support other team members. Before the event, you will take part in various tasks and contribute to developing the overall concept together with the team.
What qualities are important in these roles?
The most important things are motivation, initiative, and commitment to the project. Previous experience in event organizing is not required, what matters most is an enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn. The workload varies during different stages of the project and can be adjusted based on your schedule and interests. Although each member has their own area of responsibility, the work is done together as a team, and mutual support is key.
